Selston countryside scenery
Along the walks in these areas visitors will come across brilliant historical attractions including Newstead Abbey, Felley Priory, Annesley Old Church, and several rural parish churches, each with their own fascinating tales to tell. Author D.H. Lawrence based many of his novels around the places and families of the area and referred to it as ‘the country of my heart’. Waymarked walks range from 2.5 miles to 10 miles and there are also several cosy, country pubs along the trails.
