Accessibility Statement for Discover Ashfield App

This accessibility statement applies to Discover Ashfield mobile application.

This mobile application is run by Discover Ashfield. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this mobile application.

On a phone or tablet you can use the built-in Apple iOS or Android accessibility settings to make some parts of the App more accessible.

How accessible this App is

We regularly test our content to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 on both mobile and desktop devices. We have a language style guide and we work towards making the mobile application text as simple as possible to understand.

We know some parts of this mobile application are not fully accessible:

- Map – people using the app with adaptive tech may encounter issues using the map with in the app
- Augmented Reality - people using the app with adaptive tech may encounter issues using the AR trail function with in the app.

It’s not possible to make augmented reality functionality fully accessible due to the nature of the technology and the heavy reliance on imagery to present information, too much to be described alone.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

Map
People using the app with adaptive tech may encounter issues using the map within the app, but the map is used for navigational purposes so is not covered by the regulations.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Our mobile application will be monitored for accessibility issues to allow all members of the team to react to any issues. Tests will be automated and manual.

Training will be provided to all editors with accessibility at the forefront.
